Re. Eve Williams

Rev. Eve Williams is an Ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church. Having worked as a lay person in her home church for several years, she finally discerned a call to ministry and earned her MDiv from Candler School of Theology at Emory University.

Prior to attending seminary, Eve worked in multiple settings outside of the church context, including a stint in the convention and trade show install/dismantle industry. That, combined with her time spent working with individuals and families in crisis, as well as her own personal experience of being a single mother trying to make it through graduate school, as well as being sole caregiver of her elderly

mother, Eve has developed a passion, and a gift, for identifying big problems and breaking them down into smaller, more manageable pieces. All of these experiences also instilled in her the value of relationship and connection, realizing that none of us can possibly do any of this alone, nor were we ever intended to try.

Eve is the loving mother of an adult son, two dogs, and two cats and finds her greatest solace in meditative prayer, her garden, her family, and her dear friends.

Rev. Paul Cho

Rev. Paul Cho is a lifelong United Methodist with roots in both South Korea and Arizona. Born in Kanghwa, South Korea, and raised in the U.S., Paul’s journey in faith and ministry began in Tempe, where his father pastored a Korean congregation. After years of study in engineering, Paul discerned a call to ministry, completing his M.Div. at Claremont School of Theology.

Paul has served in various pastoral and chaplaincy roles across California and Arizona, with a passion for intergenerational and multiethnic ministries. He helped launch the Tucson House of Prayer and led the successful merger of two congregations into an inclusive, Reconciling United Methodist Church.

Paul and his wife Julie, a professional musician, are proud parents of three children.

Maria Astete-Letelier
Maria Astete-Letelier was born in Chile and moved to Las Vegas, USA when she was 12 years old. She has been attending the Methodist church since she was very young and has loved to help in the Children’s ministry. Maria volunteered to help with the nursery when she was 15 years old. She then transitioned to help with Sunday School and eventually became a youth leader. Due to life changes, Maria took a step away from the children’s/youth’s ministries, but God had another plan for her and brought her back to Early Childcare Education here at Desert Spring. She has been attending Desert Spring for approximately 8 years and enjoys her time serving the church and the children as they are our future.
“Train up a child in the way they should go and when they are old, they will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6
Chris Devereaux

Chris Devereaux serves as the Director of Worship Technology at Desert Spring and holds a B.A. in Graphic Design from UNLV.

Chris has lived in Arizona, Texas and Nevada and considers Las Vegas as his home town. His favorite things about the city are its easy access to outdoor activities like hiking and camping and the diversity of Las Vegas residences.

Chris came to Desert Spring in 2013 after living in Texas for 5 years and loves helping the church navigate the ever-growing world of technology by helping to improve our livestream, our in person worship experience, and our tech capabilities for bible study and other church events.

1 Corinthians 12:4-6 – Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of working, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone.

Laura Younger

Laura grew up in central Ohio and moved to Las Vegas in 2015. She is a true Buckeye.

Laura has two children who are young adults. She enjoys cooking, reading, gardening, and traveling in her spare time.

Linda Rizzuto

Linda grew up in Michigan and has lived in Las Vegas for 20 years.

Linda enjoyed six years of retirement, and after much persuasion from Desert Spring Church, she agreed to return to work to be Desert Spring’s Accounting Manager.

Linda enjoys volunteering at The Smith Center and spending time with her two daughters and four grandchildren.
