Desert Spring will hold a book drive to benefit Spread the Word Nevada on Sundays, April 16 and 23. New and gently used children’s books are needed. There is always a need for chapter books. Gently used adult books are accepted. No encyclopedias, coloring books, comic books or books with Library Dewey Decimal stickers, please.

Volunteers will be available on Sunday between services to help get your donations out of your car. Pull up to the curb and look for the volunteers. At other times, please take your books to the Multi-Purpose Room.

Spread the Word Nevada is dedicated to advancing childhood literacy within low-income communities by changing lives one book at a time. 60,000 books are given to students in Nevada schools each month.
