Sandy Valley Food Pantry Update – July 17, 2020
Volunteers showed up to help for July 17 hand out, and we have 2 more people who stepped up to help out with deliveries for shut-ins or anyone who has reached out that cannot make it to Keystone.
We have had great responses from the community, families are very thankful and appreciative. We have the pantry set up as per Covid guidelines to make it very quick and in and out of the building, everything is pre-bagged so it’s grab and go, we all keep a safe distance.
We have had other donations of all kinds, such as: toiletries, gently used and new clothes, school supplies, sheets, anything and everything really. We put those items out on a table on pantry nights as well so our customers can “shop those items”.
Mike showed up with 2 big bags of stuffed animals that I set up on chairs that kids were able to grab on their way out, it was cool.
We are SO EXCITED to get the new fridge and freezer, getting those pallets of perishables was stressful to say the least but we got through it.
Last night we served 41 families totaling 201 people.
Thank you, Desert Spring Church!
