Sandy Valley Food Pantry Update – December 2020
Hello All!
The month of December was busy for the pantry. We served 514 people from 126 households this month which is the busiest so far. We were surprised by the amount of gifts that arrived with Dan and Joel. They sure were a blessing.
We were able to make up a list of children’s ages and genders for 20 families. I was a little shorthanded because Lisa had a family emergency so I borrowed Izzy and Lilly (Pastor Dave’s granddaughter’s). The girls were able to come and help sort and bag up the presents. We also were able to make up 16 stockings that we passed out to children that come to the pantry with their parents. I delivered the gifts in the two evenings prior to Christmas Eve, I snuck them to the parents, it was busy but it worked out well.
I want to thank everyone who donated gifts. I had two different Moms crying happy tears when I dropped off the gifts to them. It was heartwarming. All of the families were grateful.
I want to give a huge shout out to the church. It feels good to be a part of an organization that does so many good things.
Thanks all,
Sarah
