  • Disciple 1  Bible study - fast track

    class begins Tuesday, nov. 12, 7:00pm - 8:30pm

Disciple Fast Track, an adaptation of the original, bestselling Disciple Bible Study, provides a viable option for busy people seeking comprehensive engagement over time with the entire biblical text. Fast Track groups meet for a total of 24 weeks, devoting 12 weeks each to the Old Testament and the New Testament. Participants read a manageable 3-5 chapters of the Bible daily in preparation for the weekly meetings, which last approximately 75 minutes. A separate Leader Guide provides group facilitators with step-by-step instructions for leading each week’s session without any extra preparation.

A brief, illustrated review video enables participants to recall important facts and ideas; lively and engaging video presenters then offer insights into the current week’s session. Participants have the opportunity to take a spiritual gifts assessment and determine meaningful ways they can serve and live out their discipleship commitment. They also have opportunities for celebrations marking their completion of the Old and New Testament components of Disciple Fast Track.

Classes begin Tuesday, November 12 from 7:00pm-8:30pm in Room 17/18.

Stewardship Campaign 2020

"Freely, Freely..."

Financial pledge and budget information

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

You may remember these words to the popular hymn “Freely, Freely:”

God forgave my sins in Jesus name. I’ve been born again in Jesus name

And, in Jesus name I come to you to share his love as he told me to.

He said Freely, Freely, you have received, Freely, Freely give.

Go in my name and because you believe, others will know that I live.

I love this hymn’s simple message: we who have received so much from our Lord are asked to give of ourselves so that others come to know the love of God in their lives.

In many ways, our church lives out this simple message.

I think of our ministry with Cambodian street children, the poorest of the poor, who now are receiving food, clothing, education, job training and more through our generosity.

I think of our youth ministry and the 40 youth who are actively involved in missions locally and beyond.

I think of our Northwest Campus where we have been blessed to help bring several adults to faith in Jesus Christ, while helping restore the faith of many others. I think of the development of our new Young Adult Ministry, our exciting Vacation Bible School, and our growth in the number of people participating in Community Groups. Freely we have received, freely we give!

These are but a few of the many, many ways our people are engaged in ministries that are transforming lives.

As I look forward to the year 2020, I am very excited about the plans that are developing for ministry. We are looking forward to continued growth in our Northwest Campus, with the goal of having 100 in worship by the end of 2020. We are looking

forward to further growth in our Community Groups (where people gather with other Christians for prayer, study,

support and fellowship) with the goal of increasing opportunities and the number of participants by 50%. We look

forward to further developing a partnership with “Keystone” in Sandy Valley (what I have been calling the “Sandy Valley

Mission”) as we help meet the needs of vulnerable families and seniors in this community just beyond Las Vegas. Of

course, more will happen in 2020! I can hardly wait to see what God is going to do next!

In order to fund our continued growth, we are anticipating a 4% increase in our budget over our 2019 income. The brochure (linked below) explains our 2020 budget and how our income is spent in ministry. Please take a few minutes to look over the brochure, and if you have questions contact me. I welcome the opportunity to talk about our hopes and dreams for the coming year. In addition, I ask you to prayerfully join me in considering how you will be able to financially participate to help fund our growing ministry: Freely we have received, freely we give!

I invite you to fill out a paper pledge card, or online pledge card, as a way of setting a goal for your giving in 2020.

On Sunday, November 24 during worship, we will invite people to bring their pledge cards forward as an act of worship. If you are unable to be present on November 24, know that you can drop your pledge card in the offering plate on any following Sunday, or mail/drop it off at church. Pledge cards will be available in the church lobby. Or, you can use the link below to fill out your pledge card online.

Finally, during the weeks ahead please join me in praying daily the words of our theme song, “Freely, Freely”.

God bless you,

Pastor Dave
