Desert Spring United Methodist Church - Summerlin Location
The Las Vegas Master Singers will be joined by:
Desert Spring Church Chancel Choir - Friday
Palo Verde High School Chamber Singers & Harmony Handbells - Saturday
The Las Vegas Master Singers celebrate the holiday season and their 27th anniversary of bringing music to the community as they present two performances of “Rejoice!” in the sanctuary of Desert Spring United Methodist Church, Summerlin.
Songs of winter and Christmas will be performed by the 90-voice choir, with collaborative pianists Barbara Buer and Paula Johnson. The concert includes beloved holiday carols and hymns.
The Las Vegas Master Singers are recognized as one of the premiere community choral organizations in southern Nevada. Sponsored by the UNLV School of Music, the Master Singers present several concerts each year, and they serve as the chorus-in-residence for the Las Vegas Philharmonic at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts.
“Rejoice!” is free and open to the public, with freewill donations accepted for the choir’s community outreach projects that support choral music in the Clark County School District and at UNLV.
Join our choir and orchestra as we celebrate God's love and prepare our hearts for Christmas.
Sunday, Dec. 15 at our 8:00am and 9:30am worship services.
Love made a way! Who could understand a love like that? It was God who said that no cost is too high to bring my people to myself. So, Jesus came. You are loved by God -- Love made a way!
That's our heart as we present this work. Wherever you find yourself this Christmas, God sees you and knows exactly what you're feeling. Trust Him. Love Made a Way!

The Angel Tree is a tradition at Desert Spring. Our goal has always been to give Christmas gifts to children whose families need assistance. But this year will be a little different. Staffing changes with our former partner, Head Start, have resulted in Desert Spring needing a new Angel Tree partner. We are pleased to announce that this year’s partner is Help of Southern Nevada.
Help of Southern Nevada has a wonderful way to distribute the gifts to children in need. All donated gifts are displayed, and parents are invited to “shop” for the gifts their children will enjoy. It’s a great way to ensure the gifts are personal to the children.
The Angel Tree will be in the Sanctuary lobby Sunday, Dec. 1 – Sunday, Dec. 8 and will have tags with gift suggestions written on them. The gift suggestions come from Desert Spring Church Sunday School children, who were asked to help create gift lists for this project.
Please choose a tag on Sunday, Dec 1 or Sunday, Dec. 8 and return your UNWRAPPED gifts in the clear plastic bags provided by 12:00pm on Sunday, December 15 for sorting, organizing and delivery to Help of Southern Nevada.
