Desert Spring will hold a book drive to benefit Spread the Word Nevada on Sundays, September 25, and October 2.

Spread the Word Nevada is dedicated to advancing childhood literacy within low-income communities. 60,000 books are given to students in Nevada schools each month.

New and gently used children’s books are needed. There is always a special need for chapter books. Gently used adult books are accepted. Please no encyclopedias, coloring books, comic books or books with Library Dewey Decimal stickers.

Stop by the book donation bin on Sunday, September 25 and pick up a box or a reusable bag. Use it to return your book donation on Sunday, October 2.
