Sirocco Flutes of Las Vegas present their Annual Spring Fling at Desert Spring Church on Sunday, April 22 at 3:00pm. There is no charge for this concert.
Sirocco Flutes will be performing 16th - 21st century music for flute choir featuring Maozart's Et Incarnatus Est from the Mass in C Minor.
Chancel Choir continues to grow and learn to share God's Word through music for both the 8:00am and 9:30am worship services.
Desert Spring has been blessed with a deep well of talent - some of it sitting undiscovered in the congregation. We welcome new singers!
We strive to present a variety of types of music, incorporating soloists, small groups and instrumentation as much as possible. In addition, every effort is made to coordinate the music with Pastor’s sermon topic.
We rehearse on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 pm – 8:40 pm in the Sanctuary.
We have two Choir Clinics each year. One is held prior to Easter where new music for Lent and Easter is presented and study begun. One is held prior to Advent, Christmas and our "Toe Tappin' Into Fall" concert. These clinics are invaluable as we spend approximately 4 hours during each Clinic in rehearsal.
The Praise Band leads worship at the 11:00am contemporary service each week. Vocalists are supported by a variety of electric and acoustic instruments and percussion.
Band rehearsal is held at 6:30pm on Thursday evening.
Please email Andrew Devereaux if you are interested in joining us.
Desert Spring hosts musicians who support choral music for special events and worship services.
Mellowtones are Desert Spring's own big band. Mellowtones perform at special events at the church and across the valley. Mellowtones also provide music in the traditional services, either en masse or as smaller sections to augment anthems and hymns. One of our favorite Sundays of the year is Big Band Sunday when the full band joins us for our traditional worship services.
Mellowtones rehearse at 7:00pm Thursday evenings, except during the summer months.
The Handbell musicians enrich our traditional worship services regularly. Handbells are always looking for new ringers, and add new octaves to their range regularly. They meet Tuesday evenings from 6:30pm - 7:30pm. You are always welcome.
