Sandy Valley Food Pantry Update – August/September 2021
Hi everyone!
We have been busy with the pantry and all these new upcoming things with the grant.
So August was good. We saw roughly 1,000 people and 350 families. Everyone is always grateful for everything they receive.
Besides the Pantry we have Hope Medical clinic that comes out every month and sees patients. That is going well and being well received by the community.
Also, the last Saturday of every month there is a farmer’s market/flea market that is held at the Keystone building. It is very nice to see the community come together and show off their craftsmanship and different variety of foods.
For the month of September we have seen roughly 1,500 people and served about 490 households.
This has been a busy month for us. We moved the pantry dates to Thursdays because the school has football games Friday nights which conflicted with pantry time and traffic.
Thursdays seem to be better for us as we have extra pantry days and are inside the building now.
The LDS church held a community clean up event for Keystone. The outpouring of help that was given and seeing the community come together to help our building with new paint inside and clean up inside and out was amazing.
Thank you for all your continued support and all the donations you give,
Lisa

P.S…. We finally got our storage container! Yay!
